Protein: Vital. We are made up of protein. Protein is made up of amino acids. In order for our bodies to be able to repair and maintain the cells in our body, we need to add protein, preferably every day.
You might think that these are huge amounts of protein we need. But oh so wrong. We need at least 1.1 g per kg of body weight. For example. if we have a person who weighs 70 kg, this person should consume 77 g of protein daily. This does not mean 77 g of chicken, here we mean 77 g of pure protein. In a chicken fillet, there are about 20 g of protein per 100 g. This means that to get up to 77 g we need to eat approx. 3.8 chicken fillets.
